  1. Population and dissenters: I believe 200 parishioners, families uncertain but no dissenters of any kind – at Buckland {Ashcome, or East Harptry in Somerset}.

  2. Public or charity schools: Two charity schools in the Parish endowd & care taken of the children in the proper way & method as mentiond above ten pound a year is settled on one & £4 per year on the other.

  3. Alms-house, hospital or charitable endowment: Some of these things have been disputed in law but are now compromis'd & settled. Here is one Alm's house buil'd by Sr. Fr[anci]s. Drake.

  4. Residence upon cure: I reside personally on my cure at Buckland Monachorum & in the vicarage house but when I am absent at Ashcombe as Rector or sickness happens or at Wells as Prebendary, as I am able, but always take care of supplies.

  5. Curate: I have a Curate at Ashcombe who lives near by it at a publick school his name is Am. Wilkins, his allowance is £25 per annum besides all perquisites, he had a licence & title there before I knew it.

  6. Divine service at other churches: When desired by an helpless neighbour only – excepted –

  7. Frequency of divine service: Twice a day every Lords day prayers & sermon unless accidentally prevented.

  8. Frequency of communion: Nine times – some times but eight in a year.

  9. Number of communicants: I believe about a 100 – at least Easter between 3 & 4 score.

  10. Catechising of children: I constantly catechize to the best of my power my whole flock that will hear & learn at all times.

  11. Chapels or chapels in ruins: None at all That I know of.
